Wouldn’t it be nice if people just stop with the rape analogies? Unless you have been raped in the true sense of the word, meaning, forced penetration of bodily orifices and non-consensual sexual activity, you have not been raped. When people say “I felt raped by the RAPISCAN” (an unfortunately named X-ray machine used at the airport) or “I just got raped at the gas pump,” they sound like utterly dramatic and ignorant dickheads. It’s a terrible word and a disgusting act of depravity, not a colorful verb for being inconvenienced.
Here, Dana Loesch refers to Occupy protesters as rapists, based on some dubious information reported by Andrew Breitbart. I am sure there are some criminal elements within the ranks of the protesters, as there are in any group of people, but she makes it sound like everywhere you turn, people are getting raped all over the place. The word is repeated so often by folks that it has become just another word. “Help, I’ve been raped,” is more like “wolf, wolf!” “Oh, did you just get your cable bill? Haha, you got raped.” Stupid.
“What did women receive for supporting the left? You’ve seen it here with your Occupy movement, haven’t you? They get raped. This man [Andrew Breitbart] on my shirt had a message that I think needs to be reiterated since it keeps happening. Stop raping people! Behave yourselves!”
