Amelia Earhart, aviation, George Putnam, history, prenuptial agreement
Amelia Earhart Wasn’t Scared To Cross The Atlantic In A Rickety Plane, But She Was Afraid Of This.
From → History, Women's Rights
Very interesting. She wasn’t much of a romantic.
If you have not seen “Amelia” it is a must see. George Putnam was devoted to her and she had great affection for him. The movie leads you to believe she was smitten with Gore Vidal’s father. Yet, she was devoted to flying above all else and Putnam supported her efforts. Since you know how it ends, you don’t want her to make the last flight, but she died doing what she loved. Thanks for sharing this, BTG
I get her reluctance, especially during that period of time. Thanks for sharing this, fabulous insight,
