Where have all the Flowers Gone, Boomers and Feminism
Reblogged from QBG_Tilted Tiara:
When I was born in 1957, society was on the cusp of change, women, particularly in the West, were beginning to shake off traditional roles and demand their place in the offices and the boardroom. I was born in the last cohort of the Boomers, the generation of rebels and idealists. Mine was the generation swept up in the second wave Suffrage, rebranded Feminism and ignited by the Feminine Mystique by Betty Friedan.
Such an eloquent piece from Valentine at QBG Tilted Tiara.

Thank you for the re-blog.
